MARNEY will read from her third novel, ONLY
STRANGE PEOPLE GO TO CHURCH. This witty, yet
touching story, revolves round a community worker’s efforts to involve her
disabled charges in a community show in a deconsecrated church. MEG HENDERSON will discuss the reasons behind her books - and the often odd reactions to them. She will read from her latest book, A
SCENT OF BLUEBELLS. ALANNA

MY LIFE WITH ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON Alanna describes her
connection with RLS as ‘like meeting an old friend’. Her talk will
feature her extensive research into Stevenson’s life and works; and how this has
influenced her own writing. STEWART CONN - FAVOURITE SCOTTISH POEMS Stewart will read s selection of poems from the recently published
book which
he edited for the
Scottish Poetry Library in collaboration with Luath Press. He
will also tell us how the book came about, and how and why the
poems were selected. Stewart will end the session by reading some of his own recently
published poems. RICHARD MOORE IN SEARCH OF ROBERT
MILLAR OLD KILN CAFÉ, ARDBEG Richard will talk about his biography of Robert Millar and there will be a showing of the 1985 Granada TV documentary ‘The High Life’ This session is free of charge but there will be a silver collection. BOOKING TICKETS
