ALANNA KNIGHT—A CASE OF SERIES NOVELITIS— MY THREE
HISTORICAL CRIME CHARACTERS Featuring Inspector Faro (13 books), his daughter Rose McQuinn (4 books and a 5th on the way), and Tam Eildor, a time travelling detective (3 books). ALINE TEMPLETON—CRIME AND PLACE. Aline will tell how a chance visit produced a series of crime novels
characterised by an intimate relationship with a rural community and a beautiful,
unspoiled part of Scotland. ALAN BISSETT author of the novel BOYRACERS, about fast-paced
teenage exploits; and THE INCREDIBLE ADAM SPARK, Falkirk’s first
superhero, will read from, and talk about his
books and writing. TARTAN
TRUTHS with PARAIG
MACNEIL IN GAELIC AND ENGLISH FOR HIGH SCHOOL PUPILS AND
ADULTS Through traditional stories, songs and poems Paraig will
illustrate the importance of the Breacan or tartan as the dress of the
warrior Gael; and latterly symbolic of the Jacobites. and will demonstrate how the old plaid or feile-mor is worn. |
